Rehabilitation, Not Punishment
Whenever possible, the State of Illinois favors a rehabilitative approach to juvenile crimes, rather than punishment. One of my primary goals in your child's case then, will be to keep the case in juvenile court and out of adult court.
In cases involving juvenile crimes, the primary question asked is always "Is this child at risk to return to the justice system?" My first job is to convince the court that the child will not be back. To do this, I will work closely with the parents to develop information that presents your child in the best light possible.
